Become a fan of your Payroll Superstar - NZ National Payroll Week

The team at Mitrefinch are once again please to support New Zealand's National Payroll Week, an initiative of the New Zealand Payroll Practitioners’ Association (NZPPA).
Now in its fifth year, National Payroll Week aims to raise awareness of the important role payroll plays in the everyday lives of the New Zealand workforce, business and the wider community.
This year’s event will run from Monday November 25th through to November 29th and businesses across New Zealand are encouraged to embrace the theme, “Become a fan of your Payroll Superstar”.
The NZPPA advise that payroll professionals are responsible for one of the largest costs across an organisation. They are tasked with developing processes and practices to ensure all employees are paid on time and correctly, in accordance with legislative requirements and company polices. In addition, they are the providers of a wealth of employee information that the business can use to effectively manage its workforce.
As part of the week’s festivities, the NZPPA will host a number of free* breakfast briefing sessions in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch. They are also busy distributing posters and postcards that promote the value of the payroll function to organisations across the country.
“National Payroll Week provides us with a fantastic opportunity to acknowledge the important role that payroll personnel play in every business”, said Jamie Fitzsimons, Mitrefinch Marketing Manager.
“As providers of workforce time and attendance systems, we work closely with payroll professionals on a daily basis and we aim to make life in the pay office a little easier by automating the payroll processing function, and ensuring compliance with entitlements and work rules.”
