Celebrating Workplace Diversity with A Taste of Harmony!
March 20, 2013 at 4:06 AM
Mitrefinch will be celebrating the numerous nationalities that make up our organisation as part of “A Taste of Harmony” this Friday.
Running from 18-24 March, A Taste of Harmony is a national campaign promoting diversity.
The event is touted as a simple, delicious and free way to bring increased cultural awareness to the workplace. Workers are invited to share with their colleagues a plate of food which represents their cultural background.
Last year more than 175,000 people participated, and the campaign organisers said sharing a multi-cultural lunch promotes a non-threatening environment for sharing cultural stories.
Here at Mitrefinch's Sydney office, we're already looking forward to tucking into dishes from the Middle East, Europe, The Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, China, Korea, and a token Aussie BBQ, as well as sharing stories and customs from our different cultures.
